Pre-anesthetic Blood Work

We require pre-anesthetic blood work on all of our patients, young and old.

Please bring, or have your regular veterinarian fax or email, a copy of the most recent blood work.

We are able to perform routine blood work in our office on the day of the procedure.

Please contact our office with any questions regarding preanesthetic blood work and other diagnostic testing requirements.

A full conscious (awake) oral examination is performed to the best of our ability, or to what your pet will allow, to assess the oral health. The findings will be explained and discussed with you during the consultation, along with the recommended course of treatment. Based on those findings, we will provide an itemized estimate for the cost of the services. If your pet is scheduled for same day surgery and you agree to the terms, we will admit your pet to the hospital for treatment. If your pet is scheduled for a consultation only, the examination fee is $150, of which $100 will be applied to procedures scheduled within 6 months of the initial consultation. Examination findings may change at time of procedure where additional treatment options may be presented.

Under general anesthesia, a full oral examination is performed, the teeth are professionally cleaned (if needed) and dental imaging. Is performed. Based on those findings, we will perform the necessary treatments discussed during the examination. If the findings differ from the original discussion, we will always call you to explain. For this reason, we require a contact phone number where you can be reached at all times during your pet's stay at our office.

An initial examination will cost 150$, of which 100$ will be applied to procedures based on time of examination if scheduled within 6 months. Examination findings may change at time of procedure where additional treatment options may be presented.

"I’m really not the type of person who leaves reviews often, but I honestly couldn’t keep quiet about the care we received here. From the moment I walked through the door, the experience was just outstanding. My cat is, to put it mildly, very defensive and not the easiest patient, but the team was so patient, kind, and professional with her. The doctor and the entire staff handled everything flawlessly, from the initial consultation through the procedure and the aftercare brief. It’s rare to find an office that is this high-level while still being genuinely understanding. I really can’t speak highly enough of them. Thank you so much for taking care of Ikora and her root canal today!"
